-
How often should I use Cryotherapy? The Cryosauna can be used up to twice a day, but this is typically only recommended for professional athletes on a very vigorous training schedule. Generally 2-3 treatments a week are sufficient for most patients, however treatment schedules vary depending on your level of athletic activity, severity of soft tissue ailments, and other factors.
-
What can I expect to happen during a Cryotherapy session? Before entering the Cryosauna for the first time, our trained staff will walk you through the process step by step so you know exactly what to expect. While using the Cryosauna your extremities will be protected by gloves, socks, and slippers. Women can choose whether to remove or wear undergarments; men are required to wear cotton underwear for protection. The session will last between 1.5 and 3 minutes. During this time your core body temperature will not change. Because the air does not contain any moisture, you will feel chilled but not uncomfortably cold. Your skin temperature will drop to an average of 50° F during the session but will increase back to normal within a few minutes of the session’s conclusion.
-
Is there anyone who should not use Cryotherapy?WBC should not be used if you: • Are pregnant • Have a cold, fever, or seasonal infection (flu, sinusitis, etc.) • Have cold-induced asthma • Have an open wound or sore (including teeth abscesses) • Have severe hypertension • Have hyperthyroidism • Have tumor diseases • Have a heart or cardiovascular and respiratory disease (which may include heart disease, hyper- or hypotension, angina, heart failure ischemic heart disease or other rhythmic conditions) • Have acute respiratory disease • Have a pacemaker • Have peripheral arterial disease (Fontaine Stages III & IV ) • Expired venous thrombosis • Have seizures • Have bacterial and viral skin infections • Have acute kidney and urinary tract disease • Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol • Heart attack which dates less then 6 months • Have severe anemia • Have Raynaud’s syndrome • Have Polyneuropathy
-
Is Cryotherapy covered by insurance?Unfortunately not at this time, However, we do accept HSA and FSA cards.
-
How long does a session take?Depending on the condition you are treating, our professional staff will recommend a session that last between 1.5 and 3 minutes. No session is longer than 3 minutes.
-
Can I work out before/after a Cryotherapy session?Yes. It’s common for athletes to utilize WBC prior to workout in order to increase flexibility, range of motion, blood flow, and oxygen flow. Similarly, it’s common for athletes to participate in Whole Body Cryotherapy after working out in order to expedite soft tissue healing. It is recommended that you shower prior to a session and avoid using any lotions or other topical products beforehand.
-
How does Cryotherapy compare to an ice bath?An ice bath involves submersing a patient in cold water for about 10-20 minutes to encourage the body to increase circulation and healing. An ice bath will feel much colder and uncomfortable due to direct conductivity of water to the skin. However the air conductivity to the skin is different hence you don’t feel as cold as an ice bath. WBC triggers the same and advanced healing mechanisms by exposing the body to hyper cool air, resulting in a more comfortable and more effective session after only 3 minutes max. WBC purifies the blood, increases the body’s nutrient flow, and removes toxins from the system.
-
Is Whole Body Cryotherapy for me?Whole Body Cryotherapy is ideal for athletes seeking muscle recovery, people with chronic pain and inflammatory conditions, and those seeking weight loss and skin rejuvenation. Cryotherapy is used post-surgically to accelerate the healing process and reduce pain without the side effects of pain medications and anti-inflammatory drugs. Younger clients from age 13-17, can use Whole Body Cryotherapy with parent’s consent.
-
Are there any risks with Cryotherapy? If you are pregnant, suffering from a blood or heart condition, being treated for cancer, suffer from seizures, suffer from a kidney or urinary tract infection, have open wounds or ulcers, or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, WBC can potentially have adverse effects. In other cases WBC is much safer than an ice bath as cold is applied superficially and for a shorter period of time, jumpstarting your body’s natural healing mechanisms. If you are unsure of whether WBC is right for you, contact a Energi professional today for a consultation.
-
What is Whole Body Cryotherapy?WBC is the process of exposing the body to hyper cool temperatures in order to elicit the natural healing process. Developed in Japan in the 1970s, WBC is used by professional athletes to decrease recovery time and improve performance and by clients seeking recovery from musculoskeletal pain.

What is an FAQ section? An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
-
Is IV Vitamin Therapy effective?Very effective. In fact, injectable nutritional supplementation is the MOST effective way to supplement your vital nutrients. Your cells are able to pick up these nutrients immediately from the bloodstream instead of after passing through your digestive system, where a lot of the nutrients are wasted and passed without absorption.
-
How do I get started?Give us a call at 610-351-9222 and we can set you up with an appointment to come on in! We do not accept walk-ins at this time but feel free to give us a call ahead of time before you want to come over. If you are dealing with a specific condition or ailment, or want to learn more about our services, call and schedule a consultation with our medical team.
-
How long does this process take?Injections take seconds, first time customers can be in and out the door in minutes. Most infusions last around 45-50 minutes and can drip as quick as 30 minutes or as slow as an hour and a half depending on condition. Booking appointments ahead of time help cut down the time.
-
What is IV Vitamin Therapy?I.V. Therapy is a method of administering vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream through intravenous infusion. It provides valuable nutrients to the body, bypassing the digestive system, and has been clinically proven to be more effective than oral supplements.
-
How often should I come?It depends on your symptoms, your conditions and your goals. IV therapy is safe to do weekly and we encourage clients to base their frequency on their needs, goals, and how they are feeling. Some IV therapy programs will require specific frequencies. Contact us and a registered nurse can make a specific protocol for you.
-
Which treatment is best for me?Call for a consultation with our medical staff and they can point you in the right direction, and even custom formulate a therapy for you.
-
Why not just take pills? While there are benefits from oral supplementation, it is not nearly as effective as injectable supplementation, and several nutrients simply cannot be absorbed orally. As the pills pass through the digestive system, they are broken down and have a lower absorption rate. By the time your body has processed the supplements, you may have only absorbed half of the dose. With IV supplementation, your body has the ability to absorb the nutrients directly from the bloodstream, bypassing the gastrointestinal system.
-
Do I need to make an appointment?By booking ahead of time, we know you are coming and can have your therapy prepared and ready when you arrive. We do not accept walk ins at time but you can call an hour ahead to check availability.
-
Are there any possible complications? The most common side effects are light bruising and pain at the injection site. Other common side effects are dizziness, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, and nausea. These side effects are common, and your therapy can be slowed or stopped as your body acclimates to the vitamins. Our staffing area is very sterile and all of our therapies are mixed inside of a sterile laminar flow hood ensuring the cleanest therapies possible. Additional complications, which are extremely rare, include fainting, infiltration, infection, air embolism, and hematoma.
-
Does my health insurance cover these treatments?Unfortunately, most health insurance providers do not cover vitamin and mineral supplementation, and we do not accept any insurance. We do accept FSA, HSA, and other health savings plans. In the rare case that your card gets declined, you may pay with another and we will supply an itemized invoice so you can submit a claim to your coverage provider.
-
Is IV Therapy Safe? All vitamins and nutrients used at Energi Wellness are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. Every IV therapy treatment is administered by registered nurses and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, vitals signs are recorded and health history is evaluated. After the treatment ends, clients can resume most activities and daily responsibilities immediately with the exception of heavy lifting.
-
When will I feel the effects?Depending on your symptoms and ailments, you may feel relief instantly. For instance, in cases of dehydration, exhaustion, and nausea, the fluids and nutrients received via IVs, including pushes such as Zofran for anti-nausea, you may feel better instantly. In most cases, the effects are felt within hours, and especially the next day. Some are felt gradually as energy increases, inflammation decreases, and endurance improves. Some effects may not be felt, but may be seen over time as skin appearance improves and waist lines slim.
-
Who administers these treatments? The Energi staff are made up of highly trained physicians, nurse practitioners and ER registered nurses to administer our services. Our professionals take the utmost care to ensure that your service exceeds expectations and is safe as possible.
-
How Does It Compare to OthThere are other manual cryotherapy machines. But tests and experience have shown that no other machine is currently capable of such dramatic results as the Cryo T-Shock. These results are due to the fact that the device produces both heat and cold. The exchange within these temperatures has a dramatic effect on the body’s tissues causing them to drop to 12 °. When fat tissues reach this temperature they die and are passed through the lymphatic system.
-
Are There Any Contraindications?Anyone with the conditions below should not do this treatment: • Kidney disease or dialysis • Pregnant women • Severe diabetes • Undergoing chemotherapy
-
How Does This Help With Cellulite? The CryoToning uses below zero temperatures that penetrate below the skin. Cellulite is caused by subcutaneous deposits of fat primarily in the legs and glutes. The Cryo T-Shock triggers the fluids that bind the fat cells together to crystalize. This crystallization destroys the fat cells and the bonds holding the deposits together. Repeated sessions will slowly take away the upper layers of fat. The cells which have been destroyed enter the blood stream after which they are disposed of via the lymphatic system.
-
How Does It Work? The body contouring treatments last for roughly 30 minutes and are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold (22-26 minutes) and then back to heat for another 2-3 minutes. The purpose of the treatment is to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. This phenomenon is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 and 17 C which causes these cells to die. The cells are then naturally passed through the body’s lymphatic system and excreted through sweat and urine.
-
Frequency of TreatmentsFat freezing treatments can be performed once every two weeks and lifting treatments can be performed every 7 days. There is a physiological reason for this: when apoptosis occurs and some fat cells die, waste is formed. This will be eliminated by natural routes (blood, lymphatic system and urine). Metabolism must therefore be allowed to evacuate this waste without overloading the system.
-
Who Should Consider This TreatmentAnyone who is looking to lose size, reduce cellulite, tighten saggy skin or treat stubborn areas of fat they are looking to remove.
-
What’s The Difference Between The Cryo T-Shock and Other Body Contouring Treatments? There are other manual cryotherapy machines.
-
How Long Do The Results Last?Depending on the individual and depending also on their lifestyle and diet, the results last several months or several years. For Cellulite and Skin Tightening an ongoing monthly maintenance schedule is recommended.
-
What is Cellulite?Cellulite is a popular term to describe fat deposits under the skin. It is characterized by dimpled or orang-peel appearance due to structural changes underneath the skin’s top layer. Cellulite is a perfectly normal and harmless condition, however it is a cosmetic concern for most people. Cellulite is a normal occurrence resulting from uneven fatty deposits, mostly below the waistline. In women, fat is arranged in large chambers underneath a fairly thin layer of skin. These chambers are separated by columns of collagen fiber. In overweight individuals, too much fat is being placed into these chambers causing the pitting or bulging of the skin. In addition, as we age, the fibers shrink and thicken, pulling the skin downward. This results in a quilt-like appearance on the skin surface, especially in the glutes, thighs and hips. Most women develop cellulite as they age and as many as 95% of women over the age of 30 develop some sort of cellulite. Female hormones also play an important role in the formation of cellulite. Estrogen stimulates the storage of fat, which is needed for pregnancy and lactation. In addition, during the later phases of pregnancy, estrogen causes the breakdown of collagen fibers. This breakdown sets the stage for the formation of cellulite. Progesterone may also contribute to the cellulite problem by weakening veins and causing water retention and weight gain. Types of Cellulite Stage I: Aqueous Cellulite This type of cellulite is caused by water retention due to poor blood and lymphatic circulation. It is important to drain toxins and reactivate circulatory exchanges. Stage II: Adipose Cellulite This type of cellulite is often associated with excess weight. It is necessary to stimulate the natural release of fat. Stage III: Fibrous Cellulite This type of cellulite is harder to get rid of because it as been present for a long time, is compact and often painful. The Cryo T-Shock stimulates the skin and fatty tissue to soften them and make them less fibrous. At the same time, this stimulation helps to release fat and to activate blood and lymphatic circulation. Also, the hot and cold shocks the cells to stimulate natural fat release and firms skin to give it back it’s tonality and dimple free appearance.
-
How Does It Feel? The treatment is painless, with some clients describing it as rather pleasant. This is due to the massage technique and the session beginning with skin warming descending into the gradual decrease of temperature.
-
What Are the Benefits?Clinical studies have shown that this technology naturally destroys fat cells, but as with most techniques, the results vary from one individual to another. The expected effect is usually rapid: part of the fat cells are destroyed during the session while most will be eliminated within 2 to 3 weeks. It has also been proven to help with micro circulation and a significant increase in collagen due to the thermal shock that is caused by the hot and cold.
-
How Quickly Will I See Results? The first results are generally visible within a week following the first session. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment. Generally: CryoSlimming may require 3-5 sessions over several weeks and months to see the best results. CryoSlimming sessions are done once every 2 weeks as to allow for proper lymphatic drainage. CryoToning results are more immediate and also may require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results.
-
Possible Side EffectsThere are generally no side effects apart from the amount you urinate will increase slightly over the 3 days following the treatment along with the appearance of your urine in color. Any localized redness will disappeared after a few hours. In rare cases when localized pain may occur but will dissipate within 2-3 hours. Itching may occur however this is generally due to the reaction of certain cosmetic products used by clients.

-
How does the NormaTec Recovery Stystem work? The most important element for effective compression is the massage pattern. NormaTec's founder, Laura F. Jacobs, MD, PhD, a physician bioengineer, realized this fundamental principle when she developed and patented the Sequential PULSE Pneumatic Waveform. Unlike more simplistic compression patterns, NormaTec PULSE Technology is based on normal physiology, and it synergistically combines three distinctive massage techniques to speed the body’s normal recovery process: pulsing compression, gradients, and distal release.
-
Why isn't there ice in the NormaTec Recovery system?Ice is a vasoconstrictor; it constricts your vessels and decreases blood flow. While this is beneficial in the acute phase of an injury to reduce immediate inflammation, in the long run it actually impairs healing and recovery. Rather than ice, NormaTec Recovery Systems use our patented NormaTec Pulse Technology dynamic compression to increase circulation and blood flow.
